HomeWoodturning Classes
The Strait Turners (ST) is happy to announce a series of woodturning classes designed for beginner to intermediate level turners. Classes will consist of a 6 week series beginning January 20, 2026. Classes are held at the Red Door Woodshop (Marilyn Bergevin's Shop) in Sequim. The ST club has purchased tools and safety gear for students to use. There are 7 lathes in the shop for student and instructor use. One of the goals of the club is to promote educational opportunities for members and the community. Word of mouth spread quickly and a number of the students are new to the club and to turning.

The first 3 classes will focus on spindle turning, tool control and safety. The following classes will be on bowl turning and other small projects such as boxes or pens. Each class is 4 hours in length.

Click on the Event Calendar and open the class event item where you can register and pay your fees. You can bring cash, check or credit card to the class or you may pay on the website when you register. You must register for each of the 6 classes individually.
